Scenic mountain walks on the hills near Ustrzyki guarantee breath-taking views and real rest close to nature. Such hiking trips are an excellent warm-up before conquering any higher parts of Bieszczady.

Hiking trails in the area of Ustrzyki Dolne

The red trail starts by the train and bus stations (PKP-PKS) and leads to the top of Kamienna Laworta (769 m above sea level) to the junction of the red and green trails. Then, it goes via Kamienna Laworta, to the spring of Strwiąż. Then, it goes via the top of Mały Król (642 m above sea level) to the town. Along the trail, we can admire great views on Gromadzyń, Orlik, Ustrzyki Dolne, Żuków range, the closest areas of Bieszczady foothills, the Solina dam, and the distant areas of Bieszczady, or even Lower Beskids. Hiking the whole trail without stops takes ca. 4 hours.

A blue trail starts by the train and bus station, leading towards Brzegi Dolne, and then by the larch forest going along the steep slope of Kiń towards Orlik (618 m above sea level). Before the top of Orlik, the trail turns towards Jasień and leads to the yellow trail. Hiking the trail without stops takes ca. 1.5 hours.

The green trail is a connecting trail. It starts at ul. Strwiążyk, from where you can get to Mały Król or Kamienna Laworta. When the visibility is good, you can see the ranges of Połoniny, Halicz, Tarnica, and Krzemień from this trail. Hiking the trail without stops takes ca. 1 hour.

The yellow trail starts by the train and bus stations and leads through the town. Then, it goes near the stadium and up to the top of Gromadzyń (654 m above sea level). From the Równia range, the trail turns left and leads to Jasień and then through the town to the train and bus station. Hiking the trail without stops takes ca. 2 hours.

The black trail starts in the town centre, going through the town, and then near the municipal station. It reaches the edge of the forest, where it turns right. Then, it goes along the forest, turns right after some time, and leads to the Jewish cemetery. Hiking the trail without stops takes ca. 30 min.
